What is included?
Basically what you’d find on the ferries during the day en route to and from the park. So be prepared, if you’d prefer to sit while eating your desserts, you’ll have to scope out a traditional ferry bench for a seat. The plus side to being on the ferry is guests with a wheelchair, ECV, or stroller should have no issue boarding the lower level of the boat. Reservations are required and should be done 60 days in advance, as it is very popular. The best spot is to watch on the bridge that connects the two sections of Frontierland. It’s also great for those who want to give their service animal some protection from the loud booms of the fireworks. Some have had luck grabbing a spot about 10 minutes before, but this is entirely up to your discretion. Try to get to Fantasyland about 30–45 minutes prior to the show, as they will block certain passageways around and near the castle for safety reasons. So don’t forget to keep an eye out around the carousel, entrance to princess Fairytale Hall and Storybook Circus for possible encounters.
Do you need theme park tickets?
Start by checking in at the Transportation and Ticket Center, where you’ll be greeted with a refreshing beverage before setting sail. Then let the ferryboat’s crew regale you with an entertaining backstory of the vessel’s magic. Most of the treats were pretty uninspired — a basic brownie, a basic cupcake, etc, BUT some were pretty unique. We really enjoyed the creative interactive portion of the mousse dessert and some, like the panna cotta, were quite pretty. That’s fine, but previously it was a fun light-up plastic champagne flute that was really neat to carry around the dark ferry. The cookie features the logo and was a nice touch to close out the dessert party.
The 25 foot boat seats up to ten guests, and costs around $449 plus tax. This may seem like a lot of money, however when split between ten people it’s good value. You’re not only getting an amazing boat ride, but a skipper with plenty of Disney knowledge.

Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom has held many exciting changes this year, especially the return of Happily Ever After, the Park’s nighttime firework show. This firework show returned following the conclusion of Disney Enchantment, Magic Kingdom’s 50th Celebration firework show, which ended in May 2023. Banners and balloons may be requested upon booking the cruise, and are included in the cost.
However this time we were so close to it on the water it was amazing. If you’re wishing to watch Disney Enchantment from the water, then you have a choice of departing locations. You can opt for Disney’s Contemporary resort, Polynesian Village, Grand Floridian, Wilderness Lodge or Fort Wilderness.
As you sail out to the fireworks viewing location taking in the views, there is pirate tales and getting to know the other mates on your boat! Soon enough you are in front of Magic Kingdom with an ideal view for Wishes Nighttime Spectacular. There is no need to worry about missing the music that accompanies the show, because it is played through the speakers on the boat as soon as the show begins. This cruise is available to anyone - you don’t need to be staying at the resort your cruise leaves from, and you don’t even need to be staying on Disney property.
We also saw Discovery island that was in operation before Animal Kingdom was built. I was also surprised to be shown the old water park, River Country. When you arrive, look for the signs to the left of the walkway down to the boats. I have done both and enjoyed them both for different reasons. This would also be a fun way to propose to someone on a private boat either alone or with close friends and family. Most people won’t keep those forever, so the cookie kinda makes sense, but it also doesn’t feel as “ooooooh!

At points during the fireworks show, we found it hard to see (or hear) any other parts of the show besides the fireworks. And you know how much we LOOOOVE the Happily Ever After music! But we’re hoping it was just a technical difficulty on that first cruise. It was also a bit tough to get a good spot to see the fireworks (thankfully, someone was kind enough to share their spot with us). But if you prefer to sit or have tykes with you, you’ll need to stake out a spot well in advance to ensure you have a good view, and in the end, you might find yourself sharing elbow room with your neighbor. When you’re paying $100 bucks a person, you kind of expect you’ll get a great view of the show, but that wasn’t a guarantee here like it practically is at most other firework parties we’ve attended.

It also got crowded at the dessert tables at the beginning of the night, so pace yourself or head up to the second level where the large table is stocked. Magic Kingdom Dessert Cruise or Party
The boat is pristinely clean and waiting complete with soda, water, and a few light snacks. When you schedule your fireworks specialty cruise you will choose to meet your boat at Disney’s Polynesian Resort, the Grand Floridian, the Contemporary or Wilderness Lodge. We chose Disney’s Polynesian Resort because we wanted to have dinner at their quick-service restaurant, Captain Cooks (one of my most fav quick service places to eat all over Disney World), prior to sailing. Your party will have their own chartered boat from either Bay Lake or the World Showcase Lagoon for up to 10 people. Magic Kingdom fireworks are bigger and more dramatic while EPCOT fireworks are more intimate and you get to watch so close to World Showcase.
The 25-foot pontoon can comfortably accommodate up to 10 guests. The cruise also includes a Captain and assorted snacks and beverages. However, depending on availability, you can book on the day of as long as it’s before 5 p.m.
Magic Kingdom and EPCOT Disney Fireworks Cruises
The Ferrytale Dessert Cruise had both its hits and misses for us. For the most part, the food was pretty good and the view of the fireworks was great (if you get up to a railing and can see clearly!). We enjoyed the punches the best and it was nice to have the option to add some rum and make our cocktail. Now, jumping into the “dessert” part of this dessert party, we headed over to the buffet tables to scope out what they had to offer. The filling was very good and creamy with that tart bite you expect from key limes.
But fear not, dear friends, we compiled EVERYTHING you need (and the things to avoid!) to plan the ULTIMATE Disney vacation. The audio from the show, which is usually played through speakers on the ferry, was a little bit hard to hear on the boat. However, this seemed like a temporary issue that resolved as the show went on.
This experience offers the opportunity to enjoy the magic in a unique, relaxed environment. And all guests will receive “Mickey Vision” glasses to transform their view of the fireworks. When you arrive at the resort you’ll head to the marina where you’ll meet up with your boat driver.
Start time varies based on the evening’s fireworks schedule, with the boat setting sail 50 minutes before the fireworks begin. Visit the official Disney World Ferrytale Fireworks Page for schedule information. At minimum you’ll be spending at least $500-ish for a Disney fireworks cruise. It’s worth it if you are celebrating a special occasion and you have the money.
Speciality chartered fireworks cruises begin when the sun is still high in the sky, and end when the night is still and dark. The boat sets sail 50 minutes before the fireworks, and there will be no further boarding at that time. You need to make sure you arrive on time or else the boat will leave you. To board the ferryboat, you will need to check in for the dessert cruise at the Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC) to the left of the Ferryboat launch.
But no matter where you view them, you will have the enjoyment of being immersed inside the world of the beloved Disney characters and stories that you have come to know and love over the decades. This option gives you essentially everything the cruise does, but within the park’s borders. It should be noted that this cruise happens on select Wednesdays and Saturday.
All this said, one thing that HASN’T changed is the price — it was and remains $100 a person. Much like the cupcakes, these were nothing particularly special, but still hit the spot. Additionally, Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks will return for the holiday season.
Lastly, you have two paid options that could easily be memorable experiences for you and your party. Try viewing at the Polynesian Village Resort beach, where they also pump in music for guests. Depending on the time of year you go, you may get the Halloween or Christmas fireworks.
The buttercream on top was a fun touch too (there are even tiny edible flowers!). The pastry team will have a spread of international cheeses and spectacular desserts ready and available of you to enjoy. The fireworks are also subject to weather and can be cancelled. With this option, you get a lavish dining experience with the best view overhead of the fireworks. You will want to book it as soon as it is 60 days out from your visit for dinner.
